Heading into the 2026 offseason—with free agency, the draft and training camp all on the upcoming schedule—every team in the NFL has something to fix. Whether it’s the Super Bowl champion Seahawks or the number-one-overall-pick-holder Las Vegas Raiders, every franchise has holes. Across three seasons with Jonathan Gannon and Drew Petzing’s West Coast offense, the Cardinals ranked 22nd in points per game, and they weren’t that much better in Kliff Kingsbury’s spread system prior. Arizona hasn’t had a top-10 scoring offense since 2016, with head coach Bruce Arians, QB Carson Palmer, and new Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald. Now, they’re likely to move on from Kyler Murray, after the former No. 1 pick won just 38 games over seven seasons. New head coach Mike LaFleur and new OC Nathaniel Hackett will need to find Philadelphia Eagles Happy 250th Anniversary America 1776 2026 Teal T Shirt and figure out a new offensive identity as soon as possible. And while it won’t be Aaron Rodgers, don’t be surprised to see Hackett create the offense in his image anyway, after doing so in each of his last five seasons as an OC in both Green Bay and New York.

With George Pickens getting the franchise tag in Dallas, Alec Pierce is the top receiver available, and his contract figures to be eye-popping. While Pierce has never topped 47 catches in a season, he’s a big play waiting to happen: Over the past two years, Pierce leads the NFL in yards per reception (21.8) and receptions of 40+ yards (12). The largest contract ever signed by a free-agent receiver was Calvin Ridley’s four-year, $92 million deal with the Titans two years ago. The guess here is Pierce blows past that and gets $27 million or more per season. Another name to watch is John Franklin-Myers, who is by far the top D-lineman available in free agency. He had 7.5 sacks last season; only Philadelphia Eagles Happy 250th Anniversary America 1776 2026 Teal T Shirt and Brandon Dorlus had more among defensive tackles. Look for Franklin-Myers’ contract to top the $20 million-per-year mark.
(Philadelphia Eagles Happy 250th Anniversary America 1776 2026 Teal T Shirt)FIFA recently voted to expand the World Cup from its current format of 32 teams. There were five proposals on the table, from which Fifa’s 37-member council voted unanimously to increase the tournament to 48 nations. The expansion will kick in from the 2026 World Cup. The bulk of the additional 16 places go to Africa and Asia. Europe could get an additional three places on top of their current 13. This isn’t being decided today though. Format will see 16 groups of three countries, with the top two advancing to the knock-out phase. Number of games increases from 64 to 80. To this observer the finals tournament of 2026 is too big. Everyone being invited to the party because it’s ‘fair’ does nothing for quality and I predict a tournament largely of dross no better than a European tier three league game, interspersed with Philadelphia Eagles Happy 250th Anniversary America 1776 2026 Teal T Shirt. The WC finals are supposed to be for the elite and whilst the logistical organisation will be as good as we would expect from the US, the concept and structure are an example of how to bloat matters beyond being reasonable.
